WORLD PREMIERE of the AVE MARIA of Isabelle Sabrié, of rhythm-space harmony, in Manaus´ Cathedral – Church of the Matriz – Notre Dame of the Conception, during the Assumption Mass, on August the 16th of 2026.
Called for an encore, this Amazonian conception that was resuming the Bach-Gounod´s Ave Maria, was interpreted and by the Amazonas Filarmônica´soloists, Arley Raiol, Tatiana Gerassimova, Cláudio Abrantes, Irina Kazak, the soprano Rebeca Leitão and Viviane Marques.
4 flutists are positionned in the 4 corners of the church, as if they were in 4 trees, in 4 cities, or in 4 locations distant from the piano and the voice. The musicians “respond to one another across space, like in a forest, from a tree to another”, or, as on the internet, from a city to another. Each flutist continues the phrase of the preceeding flutist, above the piano and the voice, creating balanced movements in the space and culminating in “spatial cadenzas” where they all come together.

The musicians spatialized in 5 poles realized the spatio-temporal multipolar musical balance of the rhythm-space harmony: Afro-Brazilian percussions in the left, right and back walls of the hall, 2 piccolos behind the audience, the rest of the orchestra on stage. Isabelle Sabrié passed for the 3rd time, the barrier of 99,6% male composers programmed with orchestra in Brazil in 2021, 99% in France in 2017, 95% in the world in 2023.
